Deuteronomy 11: 26-28

Deuteronomy 11: 26-28 26 See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse— 27 the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lordyour God that I am giving you today; 28 the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known. Our God gave us "will" for us to choose. Our God did not make us robots or machines. Our God did not make us an animal, although many become like animals. Our God did not make us "nonliving" or "abiotic". Our God made us man. God gave us will. God gave us Adam the choice to pick the fruits between the tree of life and the tree of good and evil. In this situation, God gave a choice between blessing and curse. But the real choice is not if they want a blessing or a curse, but if they will obey the Lord. When you do not obey the Lord, you are obviously obeying another god, even if you accept it or not, even if you know it or not. Even if we are aware or not, we automatically falling into another category that says, "other gods". When we read the nine fruits of the spirit, we see that the last fruit of the spirit is self-control. If we have all the other fruits of the spirit, but does not have the last fruit, we are in a lot of trouble. God gave us will and has given us a self control to keep us from wandering off or from doing too much. Galatians 5:22-23 "22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." I asked myself why did God gave us the ability to decide if he knows that we want to do the easy things in life. Because he gave us the ability to do the things that are harder. It takes effort to be holy and to forgive and to love and to do good. It takes intentional effort to pray and spend time with God and help the poor and the needy. It takes conscious effort to meditate and to worship and to praise God. But God gave the choice to choose to worship him. John 4: 34 says, "Jesus says, 'My food is to do the will of my Father who sent me and to finish his work." We need to understand that Jesus was hungry here. I was thinking how God gave us self-control to finish his work. God gave us patience to fulfill his righteousness. God gave us peace to stay calm through the storms of life. Matthew 3:15 Jesus replied, "Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness." Then John consented. Psalms 46:10 He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Many has started this race, let's finish it. Let's fight the good fight. Let's keep our faith. Let's obey the Lord our God. 1 Corinthians 9:23-24 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Blessings !
